Ohmega
I love getting stuck into freelance projects and recently I’ve had the privilege of working with some great clients. One of these are Ohmega Group, based in Leeds, UK.
Ohmega are a highly experienced specialist electrical engineering contractor who provide electrical, building management systems, fire alarm and security services to clients spanning throughout the UK. I was contacted by Managing Director Andy, who’s business was in need of a branding overhaul. After originally starting out as just an electrical engineering company, Ohmega had developed into a group of separate companies that needed to be individually branded as well as an overall umbrella for the group itself.
The new branding would be applied to all touch-points of the business including website, uniform, printed stationery, brochures and Ohmega’s fleet of vehicles.
The final outcome represents a real change in how Ohmega present themselves. A defined colour palette gives each strand of the company its own identity while retaining strong, recognisable links to the parent brand, thus creating a professional consistent image. This is combined with the use of a bold new icon which references the Greek symbol of Omega, and includes a ‘hidden’ lightbulb as a nod to the company’s industry of expertise. Finally all of the sub brands are brought together by a coloured ring device which references the use of electrician’s wire.
Ohmega’s fleet of vans are also now sporting a fresh new look. I strongly suggested that this step was taken as these vehicles are essentially a rolling advert, as well as being another way to project the company as a modern, sleek and well presented outfit. I always specify Metamark vinyl and this job was no exception, utilising the Metamark M7 series - a long life durable product ideal for external use and vehicle application.
