Full circle

The 3 years I spent at York St John University shaped me not only as a designer but also as a person. My first visit to Berlin in 2015 on a university trip left a strong impression on me, ever since then I had a growing ambition to work abroad. The German capital is a hub of creativity and design with a vast array of galleries, museums, architectural sites and bookshops; not to mention the huge start-up scene present in the city. Fast forward 5 years to 2020; Berlin is now the place I call home. Recently things really have turned full circle, as students on YSJ’s Berlin design trip came to visit me at the Opinary office to chat all things design, my journey from university and of course drink a few beers!

We had some great discussions and I’m really looking forward to staying in touch with the students as they approach the end of their studies!

A selection of slides taken from the presentation I gave to the students which showed the progression of my work from my final university year, Transdev projects, freelance work and through to my current role at Opinary.
