Opinary's new website
Since 2014 Opinary have pioneered new ways
for people to share their opinion in online content.
The company was in need of a new website which would help to showcase their solution to perspective brand and publisher clients, as well as promoting Opinary as a fun and modern place to work. I led the design team on this project from start to finish, as well as liaising with all of the various stakeholders involved.
An element of the brief and a key part of the design was a background video in the ‘hero’ position. Opinary polls are already widely recognised by the German public, the video is therefore designed as a quick visual cue to introduce the company behind the tools.
Prior to the website build, there was no existing Opinary design framework. I created a design system which means new pages and blog posts can be made easily and in a consistent style.
Examples of Opinary tools have been integrated in key areas, this lets people get a hands on experience of the products without having to sign up, they can then choose to read further information and key performance metrics by downloading case studies.
We couldn’t create a new website without letting some Opinary character and spirit shine through. When visiting the new ‘About Us’ page you’ll find images of the Opinary team, but all is not what it seems…
Each team member has both a ‘serious’ image and an action shot. This gives a glimpse at the personality and humour of Opinary employees, which acts as both an internal culture exercise, as well as giving a human touch to clients and perspective applicants.
The navigation of the website comes to life when interacted with, subtle animation and the use of Opinary orange guides the user without being obtrusive to the experience.
